About the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 Sport Sedan
The new Mercedes E350 Lease is a benchmark in the sedan segment and with its recent update; the E-Class has better looks thanks to a facelift and new engines to stay on top of the competition.

Usually German car manufacturers are reluctant to make drastic changes when updating a model line. But the new Mercedes E-Class edition is an exception to the rule with the emergence of new unreleased LED headlamps and a more sculpted look. Gone are the aging lines of the E-Class instead replaced with redesigned character lines that exude luxury. The new Mercedes E-Class 2013 is still available as a sedan but there is also a coupe and a wagon version on the market. The Mercedes E 350 and the beautiful Mercedes E 63 AMG 4Matic S top model in the range are excellent cars to lease.Test the Mercedes E 350
We started this test day with superb E350 equipped with the AMG pack ( wheels, AMG body kit, front spoiler, steering wheel 3 spoke leather Nappa, stitching, sport seats, pedal steel, AMG floor mats … ). Equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 developing 306CV, this version is capable of reaching 0-100 in 6.3s.
Roughly effective on small Spanish roads, the E350 has an excellent road manners perfectly served by the automatic transmission ( which fishing slightly in reactivity, however ). However, we preferred the drive on highway rather than city … At the level of consumption data Builders announce 6.8L. On these small steep roads however, it was difficult for us to reproduce because we posted a 9.8L per 100km after 250km loop performed in Catalonia.

A very nice list of equipment
Concerned well figured meet its two big competitors such as the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series, the new range of Mercedes E-Class offers a multitude of amenities including help with hill starts, the parking aids front and rear , automatic headlights, detection system ATTENTION ASSIST, which runs between 80 and 180km / h, loss warning tire pressure, the warning system of risk of collision, the daytime running lights LED, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, rain sensor, the active Blind Spot Assist, which activates the ESP necessary, on-board computer, the Audio 20 CD system with Bluetooth, USB, reading files MP3, DVD, Internet access “Comand Online” (for Google Maps for example) or even the whole super hi-fi Bang & Olufsen (with 14 speakers) Among the systems developed by Mercedes which are designed to overcome the shortcomings of the driver, we both were shown on a disused airport and showed their effectiveness:

The first system tested is the “PRE-SAFE” to provide emergency braking up to 50 km / h. Developed by Volvo, the system did not work until that deca 30km / h, the German engineers who recognize the extraordinary Swedish counterparts remain convinced, however, that even in the city, we drive e rarely below 30 km / h and therefore improved. Thanks to an installed just before the rearview mirror camera, the car is able to detect any obstacle ( so pedestrians too … ) over a distance of 50 meters and trigger emergency braking if the driver has not began its braking time.

The second system is called “Distronic PLUS” and allows automatic maintain a safe distance as a function of traffic ( from 0 to 200km / h! ) to remain well between the two lines, to prevent the crossing of one of it necessary or even prevent exceeding the right ( beyond the 80km / h ) thanks to a slew of cameras and sensors hidden everywhere in the body. But most impressive is the correction of the car during any front braking only the two outer wheels to get the car in the right way and thus avoid the collision, very effective!

Although, of course, all these features are not standard but progress on safety equipment portends great things for the lower ranges of a few years.

During the afternoon, we then moved on to serious things with testing the new Mercedes S 63 AMG E-Class 4 Matic, newcomer and higher model in the range. If the E 63 AMG version ‘standard’ sees its power increase from 525 hp to 557 hp, this new version offers E 63 AMG S 585ch ( 28ch more than proposed by the former Perfomance Pack ), a monstrous V8 engine 5 , 5L and for the first time offers the standard 4Matic transmission for passing 33% power to the front wheels and a rear locking differential.
Say that this car is a sports car would be an understatement. If the acceleration stick recess passenger on your headrest, you will suffer the same treatment. Able to shoot from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 s, the Mercedes S 63 AMG E-Class 4 Matic has nothing to envy to its German counterparts ( Audi S6 and BMW M5 ) and could even be compared to some Italian Luxury …

On smaller roads that Catalan E63 AMG S responds perfectly to everything we asked. Despite its nearly 2 tons, the cornering speeds are totally impressive, with incisive precision chassis, 4-wheel drive ( 4 Matic ) and its Pirelli P-Zero, and even if you cross the limit, all equipment will catch you wonder ( do not overdo it either … ). If the quality of braking is also exceptional ( we were equipped with ‘Carbon Ceramic Braking option ), the gearbox fishing however and does not show any reactivity that is required of such a model.
